More companies are going global and there is a need to manage global websites customized to local markets at their headquarters.The product catalogs are defined for each market/country and based on that I have created the model below. The product catalogs will be managed by the local markets but the content and layouts will be managed globally by the web master.
Web Master Responsibilities > Ability to work effectively with the client's director of web and new media to perform the required technical maintenance and administrative functions, including ensuring up-to-date content and information. Monitor, improve, and update the performance of existing websites. Assure website is easy to navigate and that it addresses the needs of the client and its customers. Competency in writing HTML. Stay current with changing Web technical standards. Strong design skills for electronic media including web and multimedia. Design and implement web strategies for product visibility and driving web traffic. Monitor Web traffic and generate tracking reports. Knowledge of best practices for creating and managing Email campaigns. Work closely with key marketing and IT staff members. > The Webmaster performs advanced web administration duties, manages all aspects of multi-media and web applications including online services such as websites, media distribution, mobile applications, and interactive content * Support the installation, configuration, security, operations, and maintenance of all equipment and software for www web servers. * Respond to end user questions and problems relating to Internet usage. Provide managers and end users regular updates during the resolution of problems. * Support the development/test/production environments for all designated web systems. * Work with web Software Developers to design, develop, implement and support updated or new web-based applications. * Work as part of a team to produce complete intranet and Internet applications using HTML, Javascript, C#, ASP, and ASP.NET. > The webmaster is responsible for maintaining existing content on the organization's website, managing online communications, supporting and promoting content development, and assisting in the development of new strategies to improve the organization's online presence. The webmaster is expected to perform technical and creative functions in the management of a user-friendly, visually appealing, and informative website. > The task is to design, create, manage, optimize, market a website, generate and monetize organic traffic. The goal is to get this project going and get it to the top of all Search Engines fast using free or low cost resources. The perfect candidate must have a background working with websites offering affiliate product/CPA based marketing, Search Engine Optimization, front- and back-end website development and management. We planned on having global teams to support the AMS. Local markets supporting the backend SOA Services and Global Web track maintained at Headquarters.
